District Needs Feedback for Safe Routes to School Grant

The Reading School District is beginning the process of applying for a grant through Safe Routes to School (SRTS). This program supports projects and programs that enable and encourage walking and bicycling to and from school.

"With a large number of our students walking or riding bicycles to school, we feel it is important to make it as safe and enjoyable as possible, and funding from this grant will help," said district nurse, Heidi Sandlin, BSN, RN, LSN.

As part of the process, we need to evaluate how our students get to and from school, and we need your help! Your input could help us get the funding we need to make our students safer as they walk or bike to and from school.
