RHS Senior Earns Prominent Full-Tuition Scholarship to UC

Congratulations to Reading High School Senior Kylie Schmidt who earned admission to the A&S Honors Scholar Program at the University of Cincinnati. The program includes a renewable full-tuition scholarship and a fully-funded (up to $5,000) study-abroad program. Kylie will also be mentored by distinguished faculty and intern with top companies.

We're so proud of Kylie for earning this scholarship! This year, there were more than 8,000 applicants and only 12 students were selected as A&S Scholars!

"Part of the process included an interview with multiple faculty at once. I knew in the most competitive environment that Kylie's qualities would shine through the brightest and that she would earn the scholarship many of us know she clearly deserves," shared Reading teacher, Brian Page.

Reading teacher Amanda Shinkle added, "Kylie is an incredibly well-rounded person who gives her all to the many commitments she has. She is very deserving of this scholarship, and UC will be very lucky to have her as a part of their student body."

Kylie has made her mark at Reading HS- a top student with a 4.88 GPA, a multi-sport athlete and team captain, and a homecoming queen!
