Remote Learning Update

Blue Devil Families,

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this remote learning period. Thank you to our staff for making this quick pivot and for the understanding of our students and families.

This closure period is in place to provide the best opportunity for our building to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized without disruption, beginning Friday.  A reminder that our building remains closed and all activities are suspended until we return on Monday.

We appreciate the efforts of Omnia360 as they will be disinfecting all surfaces, touchpoints, flooring, restrooms, and classrooms/common areas following the 24-hour “rest” period.  The rest period allows for the building to be undisturbed and for air handlers to do their jobs most effectively.

Please remember that remote learning days operate like normal school days. Attendance is taken and students are required to log-in to their classes.

Our district nursing staff is continuing to conduct contact tracing this week and is working with Hamilton County Public Health on these efforts. If your student has symptoms or is awaiting test results, they should stay home and limit contact with others. Testing can let your family know if they’re dealing with COVID-19 or another illness.

Here are the symptoms we should all be watching out for:

  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

If your student tests positive for COVID-19 or develops symptoms after being notified that they are a close contact, please notify District Nurse Heidi Sandlin at 513-842-5203 or via email here.
