Blue Devil Families,
Thank you again for adapting quickly to remote learning over these past few days. As we shared over the weekend, our staff and our students have been hard hit by COVID-19, quarantines/close contacts and we want everyone to be safe and healthy.
During remote learning, attendance is taken, students need to be logging in, and engaging with their classes. We are working to make these productive learning days for everyone.
Our plan is to be back to in-person classes on Monday, February 8. Our custodial staff, Omnia360, has been working to disinfect all classrooms, restrooms, and common areas to prepare for our return.
Our nursing staff continues to contact trace and monitor cases, quarantines, and close contacts. It is still important to monitor for symptoms and report any positive tests or exposures to our district nurse, Heidi Sandlin. If your student tests positive for COVID-19 or develops symptoms after being notified that they are a close contact, please notify her by calling 513-842-5203 or via email here.
Our district technology team has set up an easier method for students to get tech assistance during remote learning. By completing a HelpDesk form, they can get questions answered and address any technology issues being experienced.
If a student needs a device, charger, or other equipment while we are learning remotely, the tech team and staff will work to make that happen.
Our teachers and staff have worked hard to serve our students in the best way possible. We know this has not been an easy time for students and families as they adjust to remote learning. Thank you for your support and patience during this difficult period. As always, please feel free to submit questions to [email protected], Superintendent Jason Enix at [email protected] or contact staff/principals directly with specific classroom/building concerns.
The Reading Board of Education will be holding a regularly scheduled work session tonight, February 3, at 5:30. The new district Strategic Plan will be unveiled during the State of the District presentation. Meetings are streamed and archived here.
We look forward to getting back into the classroom and seeing our students in the building soon. Please stay safe and stay healthy.
