Social Sciences Paid Internship

INsight School to Work is a new, grant funded program starting this year. Talbert House and its community partners have partnered with Reading Sr High School to offer students in 10th - 12th grades opportunities to learn about, get training in, and access internship opportunities within the Behavioral Health field. The Junior and Senior participants will get paid for their training and internship hours, and Seniors this year will have an opportunity for scholarship money toward a degree/certification in a Behavioral Health field. Seniors who complete the program will also earn a QMHS (Qualified Mental Health Specialist) credential, which could allow them to enter directly into the field's workforce after graduation.

Our School Navigators will be offering a half-hour Parent/Guardian Information Session on Tuesday September 10th at 6pm. If you are interested in attending, please fill out this short form. We will also be speaking to students at school next week at various times, so your student may come home with information about it sooner.
