The senior class has finished their Magnified Giving project. All seniors partnered with a local nonprofit organization (NPO), researched the social cause and potential solutions, and composed an essay advocating for the NPO. They also presented their work to their class during exams. As part of their presentation, they had to create a commercial (video ad) for their NPO. The project involves research, site visits, community service, writing at a college level, and providing a professional presentation. All of the seniors worked hard, but this was a competition, and only 2 groups could win.
As a result of their sedulous ways, Magnified Giving will donate $1000 to Cancer Free Kids in the names of Hailey Mowell, Russell Turner, Hudson Schierloh, and Zach Fritsch. This group, on their own, also raised over $1500 through their Penny Wars fundraiser, which will also be donated to Cancer Free Kids.
Magnified Giving will also donate $500 to Animal Friends Humane Society, thanks to the work of Kylie Allen, Lillie Baker and Aubrey Griffin. I am very proud of the effort and dedication that the seniors demonstrated. We hope to use our time, talents and treasure in the future to continue helping those in need.
