The Reading Community City School District Board of Education convened this week for its annual organizational meeting. During the session, Beth Wernery was re-elected as Board President, and Amy Thamann was newly elected as Vice President.
The meeting also included key committee appointments to guide the district's initiatives:
- Jim Purdue will serve on the Finance Committee and as the district's representative to Great Oaks.
- Amy Thamann will take on dual roles, serving on both the Buildings and Grounds Committee and the Finance Committee.
- Beth Wernery will lead the Policy Committee.
- Crystal Menner will join the Buildings and Grounds Committee.
- Alycia Bemmes was appointed as the OSBA Legislative Liaison.
These appointments set the stage for a collaborative and productive year as the board continues to focus on supporting students, staff, and the community.
