Seventh and eighth-grade students at Reading Junior High got a hands-on lesson in financial literacy during Reality Day, an interactive experience provided by Junior Achievement with the support of volunteers from Fifth Third Bank. This engaging program challenged students to navigate real-world financial scenarios, including managing a budget, making purchasing decisions, and understanding the impact of expenses on their financial well-being. By stepping into the shoes of working adults, students gained valuable insights into the importance of responsible money management and financial planning.
We extend a huge thank you to Junior Achievement and the dedicated volunteers from Fifth Third Bank for bringing this meaningful experience to our students. Their time and expertise helped make financial literacy both fun and impactful, equipping our students with essential life skills for the future. Opportunities like this ensure that Reading Junior High students are prepared to make smart financial choices as they grow.
